A rough day  Sucess!

Forgot to snap a pic of the benchmark so I came back for it

First ascent June 24 2020. Pretty much followed Zeejay's route. I had wanted to do Wilson Peak too but there wasn't enough time in the day for that.

Lost a water bottle and my glove liners. Got sunburned right above my sockline where I didn't put on sunscreen. Got eaten alive by mosquitoes the last 5 miles. Since there was a lot of snowmelt the first stream crossing on the way back the depth was up to my knee and I needed a sturdy stick for support. I presume they only got deeper and swifter but there were logs to cross the rest. Probably the biggest worry on a hike like that is the threat of dehydration. There's water everywhere but without salt you won't be able to retain any of it. Those pretzel covered peanut butter snacks are a lifesaver

Little East Fork Ridge  Sucess!

Looks like I climbed a similar route to ZeeJay. I was on the east ridge of Little East Fork Blacks Fork on the 16th, camped at the base of Squaw Pass that evening, and then returned via Oweep Peak and the Blacks Fork summits the next day. There was a terrifying thunderstorm in the Red Castle area while I was in the vicinity of Squaw Peak- I was eyeing every gully as a potential escape route in the event that the storm came my way, but I lucked out and only had to deal with some light snowfall.

Very nice loop  Sucess!

Started at the East Fork Blacks Fork TH and bushwhacked up to the Squaw Benchmark Ridge south of Bald Mt. Hiked along ridge, going over Moose Peak, Squaw Peak, Squaw Benchmark, Point 12960, Point 12678, and down to Squaw Pass. Came back via the Little East Fork Blacks Fork Trail. My favorite Uinta hike to date.
