Stenarska vratca

This is one detail from the Stenar ski tour. We usually ascend Stenarska vratca, the notch between Križ (left) and Stenar (right), from the other (northern) side. That route is much shorter, even if the northern slope is very steep and usually not appropriate for skiing. Then we continue right on top of Stenar and ski down by the same route. After we do the traverse, here, below Stenarska vratca, an easier terrain begins. Then we ski over the steep Sovatna valley further down in Vrata. This picture was taken in May 1985.
