Great views!
I loved the 360-degree views. I also liked the large volcanic boulder field near the entrance to the summit road, at the base of the peak. I convinced Paul Michelson to go with me, using the peak's P1K status as incentive. ;-)

Worked here!
I worked here on an air pollution modeling project for WSU during six weeks in the early summer of 1981. We worked primarily at night, driving and hiking up and down the butte to get air samples at various times and places. Thanks for the memories!

Drove up in the snow
Road had 1" of snow at the base and around 2" at the summit. Hiked Kamiak earlier in the day.
