| Hot day, high of 97. Started at 6 a.m. Got very hot going up the steep trail to Sterling Pass on the east facing slope. West of the pass, I got in cool shade for an hour or so until the sun came up. Continued beyond the trail's end up Dry Creek Canyon and came back the same route. | |
