Tell us what's good or special about this peak... Overview needs work.

Just not complete in the overview section, but not bad, with good photos.

Shano,

The "sp elf" asked me to take over and revive this peak's page so I'll be adding and revising things over the next few weeks. Your climbing info is about the best thing going for it so far. Is there a climbing guide you've used for the area we could reference?

Thanks,

Scott

good show Scott! Glad to see someone cares!

A couple of references:

The San Diego County Climbers Guide by Dave Kennedy and Chris Hubbard is the best resource. It is still in print and available locally and thru Chessler. Unfortunately its kinda dated so newer routes are not included. Chris and Dave have been working on a new edition. Chris and I have put up a couple new routes up there; I've been putting new info on rockclimbing.com. Since the advent of new routing at El Cajon Mtn we've been spending most of our time up there so Stonewall has become somewhat neglected...

Also the San Diego Climbers Coalition has some references to the area. Nothing very specific for Stonewall area but every little bit helps.

Feel free to contact me if I can help. Stonewall was my first peak when I was a little grom - I'd like to see the page get nicer treatment.

Thanks Scott, you did a good job. You don't have to have a book on a basic peak like this - just enough to make it interesting and allow folks to find their way to the summit.

Hi Bob,

Hi Bob,

Well this peak doesn't have as much depth of information available as some others and I think I have about all I can add without just replicating what is already in various places like the Cuyamaca State Park web site. Hope all is well with you. Finally back running again after the incident on Merriam. Aging sucks. I'm still planning more of the 2006 SC.

Take care,

Scott
