After the long winter, white storks (Ciconia ciconia) have returned to their nest. The Low Beskid - March 2009.

The stork

used to be a very common bird in Denmark when I was young, but since then they have become quite rare.

In Poland their number has also been decreasing. They are now under protection. It is estimated that of all the storks in the world,23 percent of them live in Poland. Thank you for the comment and vote. Regards, Henryk.
