From Beartown via Storm Gulch - the path in Storm Gulch was in a very bad shape, many fallen trees, we lost it many times. The route finding higher up to the saddle between Silex and Storm King, then onto next saddle between Peak 8 and SW ridge of Storm King was easy to follow. I expected more scramble and honestly one can keep the route at 2+ difficulty if he wants to. We went up right on the ridge and made it a little more interesting, descended more 2+ gully.
The summit was spectacular.
The weather was interesting - little rain, little snow, some sun, lots of clouds and wind.
An easy climb that we did in the evening after the day's storms had passed. We were in the area for several days and didn't see a single soul except for the goats. A pair followed us all the way back to camp and hung out for a while.
fun ascent from Stormy Gulch. The weather was not too great. I was surprised how many people climb this relatively inaccesible mountain. I think most people go up a little to the left of the south ridge.
