Strange rust-colored dike in...
Strange rust-colored dike in the otherwise granite-dominated East Side of McClellan Peak. I'm guessing there's a heavy iron content in this rock, which has a higher erosional rate than the nearby granite. I saw evidence of a similar dike on Little Annapurna but that one was perpendicular to this one. Photo taken Sept. 12, 2003.
