Strawberries And Cream

The Hydnellum pekii aka "strawberries and cream" mushroom has some interesting medicinal qualities. The red juice it excretes is a natural anticoagulant. This was found along Panther Creek trail on Mount David, September 21, 2010.

	Hasn't voted	Bravo!! You're absolutely right. The underside of the cap has "teeth" which are visible in one of my other shots. Thanks for identifying and thanks for spotting this shroom near the trail in the first place.
