| Good dayhike with lots of variety. Waterfalls were great and boulders at the end were a good workout for an old guy. | ||

| 19th time on summit. Nice and warm, very little snow and ice along the ridge. But the waterfalls are flowing nicely down in Colby Canyon. | ||

| Solo climb when I was round 16yrs. I remember it as pretty solitary (probably went mid-week), and not too difficult. Remember peering down the west face! | ||

| The recent rains have ripped up the trail in spots, making it a much more enjoyable and interesting hike. I summited at 9:50 a.m. Getting a little chilly up there. | ||

| It was a gorgeous day after a big rainstorm and the creek was flowing nicely. It was a great hike and I like the scrambling sections. I love "scrambled legs". Thanks, Robbie! | ||

| Damn it was cloudy, climbed that last 1/4 mile with about 15 feet visibilty. Oh well, it just made the climb that much more memorable. | ||

| The main thing I remember climbing this peak is how hot it was and I ran out of water. I had to push my tee shirt through the water screen atop a water tank along the ridge. I then squeezed my wet tee shirt wringing as much salty and dirty water into my parched throat. I don't know how I didn't get sick from the stagnant water since a ranger told me even rats fall through the screen guard! Yuk! | ||

| Completed a loop starting on Josephine Fire Road and ran up to the west Strawberry saddle trail. I hiked the trail until I was on the west side of the main ridge, then cut up onto the main west ridge trail. I hiked up to the summit after taking a brief wrong turn that led me into class 4 territory. Back on the class 3 route, I enjoyed climbing to the summit. It was much like a jungle gym-just enjoying doing some simple climbing on the big chunky rocks. Lots of fun. Came down the east ridge and rode my bike from Red Box (where I left it) to Josephine Road. | ||

| I climbed up the trail from just up 2 from Red Box. I ran on the trail to the saddle between Mt. Lawlor and Strawberry Pk. I climbed the east Strawberry Ridge to the summit without any trouble. Great day, wonderful views. | ||

| I've summited this mountain about 20 times. I've done it in deep snow, blazing hot sun, and in the early morning darkness and it's always been fun.Only the West Ridge is worth doing. The east side route is too flat and boring. Also, I'm in the process of establishing a new route. I'll post the info when I finish it. | ||

| Nice day for a quick hike. You begin at the Colby Canyon trailhead. After a few miles, you'll reach Josephine Saddle. Turn right (east) at the saddle and follow the west ridge of Strawberry Peak. Just before the summit you'll need to surmount an 80-foot section of class 3 rock (this is the highlight of the climb). You can descend the same way you came up or go down the trail to Red Box. | ||
