Stream at the toe of Athabasca Glacier

Hike to the Toe of the Athabasca Glacier The stream flowing at the base of the toe is rather smooth and straight here but what is interesting is to see the height of the tongue here; varying 3 to 10 feet. Farther to the left it had melted down enough to allow the walkers to step onto the glacier itself. September 12, 2011
