Good route description,

brought back memories from the mid-seventies when we did this route with our children of 7 and nine years. Unfortunately the summit was buried in clouds, and we didn't have the nice view you had.

Re: Good route description,

Oh, Ejnar, what a pity! I think it had been all the same a great day for you and yours! A question: was in the mid-seventies the stone-shelter on the summit already in place?
Thanks and cheers.

Re: Good route description,

Yes, it was a nice day, and a great experience for the kids, anyway. There was no shelter of any kind on the summit then, but I have an old (1905) Baedeker guide to Norway which mentions that on the top there then was a hut where you could get champagne!

Re: Good route description,

Ah, interesting! So, it's clear that the shelter was re-built in the last period.
