Sudharshan Parvat

Sudharshan Parvat

The charming Sudharshan Parvat ( 6507 m ) towers imposing above the tiny holy village of Gangotri ( 3140 m ). It was first climbed from the east face in 1981 by an Indo-French team. On the left the very sharp Saife ( 6161 m ). The Sudharshan is the powerful weapon of Lord Krishna, to be used for complete destruction.

Re: amazing !!!

Thank you! The Garhwal is fantastic indeed, a paradise for trekkers, alpinists and mountain lovers, and still very, very wild.
The Bhagirathi valley seen in this photo is really wonderful, I loved it very much.
