Mount Alice summit cairn and summit register. Normally I don't sign summit registers, but in this case I would have! Ironically, there was no paper to sign and the pen was broken anyway. I'd be curious to know how many summits a year Alice sees. I doubt that it is many, as at this point into a wonderful August day, I still hadn't seen anyone, and wouldn't until I got all the way back to Lion Lake no. 1. RMNP, Mount Alice August 28th, 2015

Seems like......

the summit register is a relic of the past, replaced perhaps by the selfie/facebook/twitter and so on. Your photo says it all!

Maybe it's weird, but I have never really "got" the whole signing summit register thing. Maybe it's my slim attempt at being anti-establishment (LOL). I will confess to taking a Splatski on the summit though, but I suck at those and it came out shitty!
