	Hasn't voted	In 2002 it was a lung infection that manafested itself with throwing up, dry heaving, wretching ... well you get the idea - all at 8200m. I took a step, had my "reaction" for a few minutes took another and on and on for almost an hour before I returned to C4. In 2003, my body never acclimatized above C3, 7000m. Every day was a push for the last two weeks. I felt fine at BC but weak above C2. I knew I could not summit that year but wanted to go as high as I could without putting myself or teammates in danger or a resuce situation. 	Hasn't voted	at least you have "your rock" on Everest. Most of the people come only to BC. Better alive to the rock and back then forever under the summit. : )

	Hasn't voted	Yes well said Tom, and I am very thankful I had the opportuntiy TWICE but more than the oportunity to climb was the opportunity to share my experiences with others in hopes that they get the chance to do something hard, give it their best effort and be plased with the effort regardless of the result. I believe the oportuntiy to climb any mountain is a gift not to be taken lightly. I was very lucky in that some windows opened up for me allowing my Everest attempts plus some other mountains. My goal is most always to summit but it is the experince I leave with regardless of the result. Anyway, we all share a great passion for our sport. Climb On!
