| Long hike from Blank's Cabin, over Shavano (for the second time) to bag Tab. Beautiful day with great views from the summit, and great fellowship with friends from Christ Church, including kilimanjaro1 (congrats, BJ). | |

| This was my 3rd time up Shavano, but first time to make it over to Tabeguache. Hiked with a group of church friends and ran into tons of Cross Country climbers from Kansas. Great weather and a great day to finally bag this- my final 14er to bag in the Sawatch. | |

| We ascended the Angel to the summit of Shavano, then continued on to Tabeguache. What a treat! The eastern ridge of Tab still held plenty of snow allowing for a fun snow ridge walk to the summit and a great glissade. Partners: Deb, Jill & Krystol. | |

| Hard day out. Wasn't feeling it but pushed through it alright. Completly & absolutely wiped by the time I got back to the truck. Traverse over to Tab was easy enough but bottomed out hard on the way back to Shavano. Glissaded most of the angel back to my snowshoes but it made for a very tense glissade, not fun at all. Early season glissading...not the best idea. Beautiful weather!!!! | |

| Ascended Jones first than continued the loop to PT 13712, Tabeguache, Shavano and "Esprit Point". Some fun easy scrambling between Jones and PT 13712. Surprising dry in this part of the Sawatch still despite recent snows in the state, although the summit pitch on Tab was a little snowier than the rest of the peaks. Second time up Tabeguache. | |

| A few years ago I hiked up Shavano with the idea of doing Tabeguache as well, but didn't make it because I was tired and the weather started to look a little iffy. But this time the weather was perfect, except for the gale force winds in the saddles. I left Denver around 3, got to the trailhead and started hiking at 5:45, summited both peaks (Shavano twice) and was on the road back to Denver by 3. Long day, but worth it. | |

| After missing out on Tabeguache the first time I hiked up Shavano in 2007, I lucked out with the weather on a beautiful July bluebird day and was able to make the summit of Tab after an hour long traverse from Shav. Glad to have this one over and done. | |
