TwillsMy early days...  Sucess!

were spent climbing here... Linville Gorge has some fun routes, Table Rock being only part of the whole area. Pretty good rock. Try Shortoff Mountain too...

Cortez A warm dry climb to fantastic views on the final day of summer  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 22, 2007

Table Rock offers spectacular views of the Gorge below and Hawksbill Mountain. Unlike many of the other highpoints I have visited in the South, Table Rock had a number of visitors on its summit. Perhaps this was due to the unusually warm and dry weather we have been experiencing in East Tennessee/Western Carolina. For solitude and equally breathtaking views, I recommend Sitting Bear.

My brother, Steve, and I climbed the East Face via Jim Dandy and the 3rd pitch of Cave Route. Great climbing in a spectacular setting!
