| I remember this well! A fellow Boy Scout had to take a dump at the top, and did not lower his pants properly. We ended-up burying his pants near the top of the mountain and he borrowed an extra pair from me! He probably still has mental issues with that embarassing day! | 3" of fresh powder on ground, otherwise not much snow, Came in from South Meadows, lunch at Indian Falls, love that spot, decent views from ridge and summit area, nice sunny day in the High Peaks. | |

| Made this side trip on the way back down the van hoevenberg from Marcy. Wet and muddy, but easy enough. Weather was beautiful and I spent some time at the summit even though there wasn't much of a view. | ||

| Nice little day trip. Pretty easy peak. The trail is pretty well worn, and was nice and muddy. But beyond that, no complaints. A good peak for beginners. | |

| The trail was dry and easy to follow. On the way up, the view of Colden was from an angle I had not seen before. It looks very pointy & steep. After you pass the treed-over summit, there is another viewpoint. Haystack looks very cool, can't wait to climb it, although I am thinking about saving it for my final 46er. | |

| Climbed with Phelps via the Van Heovenberg Trail from the Adirondack Loj. Had a bit of a difficult time locating the beginning of the herd path off Van Hoevenberg. Discovered it was just before the sharp turn to Indian Falls just beyond the ski trail. Decent views of Marcy and the Great Range from the blowdown field near the summit. | |

| By far the muddiest mountain I have ever been on. My pants were caked in mud from this. I did it along with Phelps. It is not a fun climb. | |

| Headed from Phelps to Table Top. Had a few, partial views of Marcy and even Whiteface in the distance. Lots of clouds, rain, and snow. Chilly and wet--miserable. #31/46 : ) | |

| Did this one after a trip up phelps. We got to watch a storn roll in over the mountains and eventually hit us. Rained the whole way down. The trail wasn't bad at all. Pretty easy to find and hike up. | |
