Taking a Whipper

Taking a Whipper

On my second go leading I decided to attempt the 11c extension to 'Anaconda'. I was quite gassed from climbing the rest of the day and only managed to make it part the way up. Unfortunately I could not leave a bail link since the pitons were so small, so I decided to remove my gear and take a whipper to the first set of anchors. 25 feet later and after a scary ride, I cleaned the route. An amazing day with a fun and unique ending. Photo courtesy of Scott Borger.

Cool

Cool shot...very unique! That’s a long one, not quite as long as Chiefs :) , but long!

Re: Cool

Thanks, it is a pretty neat compilation done by Scott. It looks much smaller in the picture than it felt! In my mind, it felt like I was airborne forever. I couldn't believe how far I went! Happy climbing,

Dan
