| Descended the trailess snow slope down to 6000 ft (75-ml/Tanner Saddle) and then to the Colorado River. Got some weather (rain, snow, wind), but was rewarded with AMAZING views and winter solitude. Ascended back and had the best camp in many years perched on the flat sandstone ridge 30 ft wide overlooking the 75-Mile Canyon. Broke the trail in the fresh snow. No traction devices were needed. |
