Tauernscharten cave on the...
Tauernscharten cave on the way from Werfenweng to Eiskogel, Tennengebirge . During spring water drops into the cold cave forming ice stalagmites.

How deep is this formation. Does it take long to get there?

It is maybe a 2 or 3 hours walk from the valley. The ice stalgmites usually (but not always) appear at the end of winter near the entrance of the cave.

Ich war auch schon mal in der Eisriesenwelt und war natürlich sehr beeindruckt, aber Eisformen von solch einer Vollkommenheit hatte ich an jenem Tag nicht zu sehen bekommen...Gratuliere!
