From Mahogany  Sucess!

Beautiful clouds for the entire morning. This kept the temp down. Hiked from Mahogany with JQ. Hit Rogers and Bennett on the way back. Wildrose the day before.

This was my second time high on the mountain, but my first summit. A couple years ago, I hiked from badwater with friends up the standard ridge from shorty's . . . on reaching the main ridge below the summit of telescope we were too *tired* to go to the top.

Tele and Wildrose Trip  Sucess!

Hit Wildrose and Telescope on a weekend. Mahogany Flat is a nice campground for those who need basic necessities but there are excellent backcountry spots on the trail up to Telescope. This area makes for a great weekend trip.

Camped near top.  Sucess!

I got a late start and did most of the ascent in the dark. My car, being small and vulnerable, made it only to about 5,000'. I camped near a humongous, out-of-place-looking snowfield in a saddle within a mile of 2 of the summit. Great, peaceful, had it to myself.
