From Fish Creek Road  Sucess!

Fish Creek Road was closed so this was a long hike from the bottom of the road. Stopped at Lake Peak first. Very nice views.

X-Country from Lake  Sucess!

Traversed the ridge from Lake, contouring too far south, then headed straight up to the summit plateau. The southern end of the plateau was christened "Carmen Peak" by someone who also left a register atop a rock pile. 10K' Ridge summit was to the north. 3rd and final stop of a dayhike that included Grinnell and Lake.

what a hike  Sucess!

hps led three-peak hike: 10k ft ridge, lake peak, and mount grinnell, in order. 11 miles, 3000' gain, 7 hours. headed off trail near the camp and hiked straight up a ridge; 1500' gain in .8 miles. do not attempt this route unless you're good finding routes cross-country, and are up for a very strenuous hike.

From Fish Creek  Sucess!

As part of a loop with Grinnell and Lake Peak. The gully that starts just to the west of 10K Ridge's summit and goes down to the north back to the Fish Creek Trail made for an excellent descent route.

My last So. Cal. 10er  Sucess!

Did this one in the same day with Lake Peak and Grinnell Peak, making it the last of the 21 Southern California 10ers. Glissade down about 1,500 ft a great way to finish off the list. Would make a great snow climb up as well, but I took it from the ridge from Lake Peak. Rocky summit with good prominence and a great view of the north side of the San Gorgonio group.
