Denali North Peak

The North Peak 19470 ft was climbed by the sourdoughs in 1910 but after returning to Fairbanks they embellished their story to claim the higher South Peak as well.

Re: Denali North Peak

Hi, you should read my article on the subject: http://www.summitpost.org/did-whymper-make-the-first-ascent-of-the-barre-des-ecrins-or-the-second/995926

In this case it not a question of "bragging" but of current uncalled-for nationalism.
