The Big HImalayas...
View of Everest from a ridge adjoining Pumo Ri at about 18500 ft, just past Kala Pattar. Wind gusts got up to about 30 mph, making it necessary to hold on once in awhile. Judging by the howling wind down in the valley the next day, gusts up here were probably dangerous. There was a significant drop-off just off just to my right...

That is a pretty cool picture! It must have been amazing to see that mountain in person.

Yes, it was amazing to see Everest in person! But, there are many beautiful mountains in that area which probably deserve more attention. You would have to move there for at least six months to thoroughly enjoy what the area has to offer...
