I don't know what this is really called--but this remarkable rock wall shined in the sun the color and sheen of polished bronze. It's on the opposite canyon wall from the White House ruins at Canyon de Chelly, AZ, and must have played a significant role in the Native Americans selecting this site for their home. The hiking trail into the canyon is immediately to the right of this wall, and passes just below it. Imaged in June 2003.
