The Chute

My nephew Tony in the Chute. The Chute starts just below Attic Window Peak on the way to MacRae Gap and then MacRae Peak. IMHO - The Chute is the best Class 2 climbing on a maintained route I have ever been on in the southeast Appalachians. For a short period of time I thought I was out in the Rockies. The 0.3 mile "hike" between Attic Window Peak and MacRae Peak is a very fun scramble! Grandfather Trail Grandfather Mountain May 21, 2011
