The class 3 gully that...
The class 3 gully that provides access between the Enchantment Plateau and the summit of McClellan Peak. This gully is located just west of The Prong. Fortunately, the ice remnant has receded enough that it is not necessary to step onto it. The dusting of fresh snow (half-an-inch deep in drifts) did not make it harder to climb down this gully. If anything, it made it easier by congealing the scree. For a view of this gully from below, click here. Photo taken Sept. 12, 2003.
