The complex of buildings at...

The complex of buildings at Penitentes, a winter-time ski resort located near the starting point for climbs on Aconcagua. The hotel found here is an excellent place to stay before starting the trek to base camp. The mountain in the background is Tupungato (6,570m), one of the 12 Andean peaks above 6,500m. Not Tupungato

Dear friendas,
The strikking peak looming in the background is Cerro Tolosa 5432mts, one of the most dificult ascents in the area.
The photo was taken looking west, at the Transandina road between Mendoza and Santiago de Chile
