The Hammerhead from the Mesa Trail

The Hammerhead seen from the Mesa Trail is characterized by its flat summit. The lighter rock behind it is The Thing (a.k.a. Morning After). The east ridge of the Hammerhead is at the center of the picture. One cannot see the opening of the arch from this angle. Boulder, Colorado, May 2007.
