Longs via the Keyhole  Sucess!

Did the Keyhole route up Longs with my brother after only being in Colorado for 3 days. Awesome views.

Wow!!!  Sucess!

This was my first experience with hospital exposure...what a rush!! We were blessed with beautiful bluebird-weather, but were also concerned about the carelessness of some of the other hikers we encountered. Ran into a non-English speaking German guy in jeans, tennis shoes, no pack (or water receptacle) of any kind, and completely alone. (Needless to stay we kept him within view just in case until we made it back to the boulderfield.)

Fun day out  Sucess!

Solo in 8:30 round-trip. To be honest climbing alone is more boring cause I am the only one there to entertain myself. It was nice to get up it after failing in July on the North Face in 04.

The Keyhole!!!  Sucess!

Started at 3:00am & did it in 10hrs. Passed 38 girl scouts on the way up & saw prob. 50 people on a Monday. # 10 for me & my favorite mountain to date, also marked my 1 year move to CO to the day(What a way to celebrate!). Ran out of water on the way down, but not a problem. Long, 15 miles RT, worth every second!!!

First 14er!!  Sucess!

Great day of climbing. Started storming on the way down though. High winds and blizzzard conditions caused us to haul ass down the trail!

The Best Walk Up I've Done  Sucess!

Because of the route's elevation gain, length, committment, and aesthetics, The Keyhole route feels more like a mountaineering endeavor than many of the 14ers I've climbed. Well worth the effort.

Long Circuitious Route!  Sucess!

Did an early season climb of this with a friend. What a long route... but you do get to see pretty much every side of this great mountain :-)
