The ledge

This is the way of getting up on the ledge. Climbing up, along the crack is the way. Notice at the top of the picture, in the center, a cairn. I have to admit that I did not see it until I came back down. Zoom in and look at the long, big, vertical rock just above the snow: there are lots of vertical scratches made purposely to see the access route. I wounder why nobody ever brought a paint spray to mark the blessed ledge once and for all so hikers who get up here, spending all that time, effort and money, don't abandon due to a lack of sudden confidence.
