The lower reaches of Flat Top...

The lower reaches of Flat Top Mtn, with the three-way junction of trails just ahead of the timberline. From here, you can see far into lower Henrys Fork (on the right side of the picture), with the Big Meadows visible in 2.5 miles, and the Narrows in 7 miles.
Please, please, please do NOT use the sliver of snow immediately past where I am standing - it is all the top side of a humongous cornice!

Broken Leg...

Was this taken after you broke your leg? I think you mentioned you were back on skis again?

Re: Broken Leg...

No, this shot was taken MUCH earleir - you can actualy see the May 2005 upload date on the right panel. This was my first experience with SP v.1, back when all images had to be attached to mountains, and pretty much all of them had to illustrate some technical aspects of routes. You can see from the page scores that the attitudes of the voters weren't really mellow back then LOL!

But yes, I am back on skis, although sticking to "lame terrain" for the time being. Last skied yesterday, luckily the white stuff is coming back at last :)

So no butterflies and bug photos back then I suppose. ;)

I am happy winter is on its way for all you ski/snow types and really happy you are back on skis -- I bet there are some "lame" routes out there you might enjoy! :)
