The Matron, on the lower slopes of Shirtail Peak. Taken from the Shadow Canyon Trail, between South Boulder Peak and Bear Peak. Taken June 05, 2005. Please note, this area is closed to all off-trail travel Jan 1-July 31, for raptor nesting. Nikon D70, 105mm Nikkor Lens, polarizing filter.
