The Morteratsch and Pers glaciers

Seen from the the west, from the summit of Piz Bernina. The big Morteratsch glacier is in front, the Pers glacier joins it on the other side of the rock formation in the center of the picture. According to my map, there should be another small glacier, Vadret de la Fortezza, on the north side of this rock formation, but to me it looks as if it's nothing more than a bit of snow. 12 August 2009.
