One Way Trip  Sucess!

Although I have been in the Narrows a number of times, this may have been the most impressive trip. No wind, still pools, awesome reflections made this trek a memorable one. My son, his fiancee, and I started near Osage Lake, hiked SW to Panther Creek, then followed Panther Creek southward through Panther Canyon east of Rattlesnake Island to the point where Panther Creek and Cache Creek converge. Then we hiked northward up Cache Creek into and through the Narrows, ending up at Boulder Camp. The hike was a casual, photographic hike of just less then 4 hours.

Great hiking and climbing  Sucess!

I only had a few days in Lawton and I am glad I spent the free time I had here. Water level was a little high but still was able to get in some hiking and cimbing

rock climb - multiple routes  Sucess!

Great climbing. One of the closest places for me to go to get on some granite. Live in AR and all we have is Sandstone. Love this area, feels like you're in AZ or NM. Incredible country.

Route Climbed: Trail from parking lot near Lost Lake. Date Climbed: Several Times  Sucess!

Have hiked the Narrows on several occasions via the established trail, the most recent with my wife on March 18, 2005. Have hiked to the top of the high point (not sure of the name of this point) on the west side of the Narrows. This is one of my favorite places to get away in Oklahoma.

Date Climbed: Many Times  Sucess!

This is a wonderful hike. I first learned how to repel and rock climb in this area in the 1970s.

Date Climbed: Many  Sucess!

This is one of the best climbing areas in the Midwest. Beginning leaders and more experienced climbers won't be disappointed. My first choice of climbing area in the Wichitas because there are so many different routes.

Route Climbed: Zoo Wall, Sunshine Wall, Linchen Wall, Leaning Tower Date Climbed: Many  Sucess!

This is my favorite climbing area of the Wichita Mountains of Oklahoma. Some of my best leads were on The Narrows' classic lines.
