I like how the forground rock has a face looking outwards. I can clearly see the eyebrows, nose, lips and puffy cheeks. Great shot.

yeah...keeping the place down here for the near term....and spending half the year in Canada still..but looking for a small horse place long term...where it suits us more for 4 seasons....when I am to old to go back and forth all the time....we owned this lot for quite a few years before we built on it...same premise....I think Bend could be nice...no grass for the horses here...my wife is in to that full time as I am climbing..kind of my idea to help her plan long term...cheers

Thanks, and I concur...when I saw Sir Douglas from this view point on Big Sister, in inspired me to climb it. That year I did a solo ascent of the mountain. One of my more memorable climbs alone. Cheers.

I don't have enough time in the day to view all of your photos. Some of them I spend time looking at dreaming of the day when I can have a similar awe inspiring view. This photo is one of them.

Thank You. This incredible view of Sir Douglas motivated to do a solo climb of it...getting to the summit, seeing the next one and wanting to climb it next...can eventually become quite the compulsive behavior! Cheers.

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
