The north basalt pinnacle of Twin Peaks from the north side. The south pinnacle that is hidden behind this one has largely fallen away.

...is this summit formation?

Do you know if there's a class 3 route or are we talking 5th class choss adventure?

If I recall right, the remaining formation is supposed to be about 80 feet tall - is this right?

	Hasn't voted	Yes, this is the summit formation. The rest of the peak is a walkup. Because of this little formation, Twin Peaks is probably the most difficult top to reach in the Wallowas. No there is no class 3, its definitely class 5 with some loose rock. I got the impression the whole thing could come tumbling down as its neighbor did. I tried in vain to find a way up, but not being a technical climber had to give up. If you read the Twin Peaks page you can find an account of someone getting up it. Sounded kind of dicey. I think somewhere I read the formation is about 50 ft., but I don't think its that high. Seemed more like 30-40 to me, but I'm not a good judge of such things. It might be 80 ft. if you count the dirt mound it sprouts from, but that can be walked. Thanks for the comment.

	Hasn't voted	I have trusted informaant who gained this peak last summer, and they told me that there were only 7 names in the register, they were the 8th and 9th.
