The Ochsentaler Glacier, with Wiesbadener Grätle, Piz Buin and Kleiner Piz Buin

To get on the Ochsentaler glacier, you have to ascend its somewhat steeper tongue. A bit higher up now, and on the west side, it gets easier. As this picture shows, the east side, on the the left here, is harder. From here, the normal route to Piz Buin first aims south, then makes a gentle turn left to the Buinlücke, the saddle right of center. 24 July 2013.
