| ajberry | Fine day out ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 21, 2007 | |
| With Katie and Megan, both 10, and their grandmother, 70. I must lie somewhere in the middle of that 60 year age range. | ||

| rgg | A sunny day ![]() Date Climbed: May 20, 2012 | |
| After hiking and scrambling over Wetherlam yesterday, I camped at the shores of Levers Water, just above 400m. With my 3-season sleeping bag, it got a bit chilly during the night, but that was easily solved by putting on my fleece. When the full force of the morning sun started working on my tent, the temperature shot up. It signalled the start of a long period of great weather! | ||

| Gatesy | Charity Challenge ![]() Date Climbed: Aug 29, 2009 | |
| Summited as part of a charity challenge event. Ascended north west out of Coniston village for a circular route, tracking around Levers Water before following the ridge between Low Water and Goat's water. Descended via tourist 'zig-zag' path. Horrendous conditions: high winds, heavy rain, hail, ice, low visibility. We earned our sponsorships! | ||

| APennineMan | From Swirl How ![]() | |
| Climbed as part of a long peak-bagging day from the Duddon Valley- lovely sunny weather, if a bit nippy up top. Bit too busy for my liking, Swirl How is also much better! A great day though- dawdling over the fells, one of those days which you just don't want to descend- kept on climbing new fells on the ridge until dark- sod sticking to plans! | ||

| Andy_Hornung | Part of Week Long Expedition ![]() Date Climbed: Jul 29, 1982 | |
| This leg set out from Esk Hause, over Bow Fell, Crinkle Crags, Cold Pike, down to Wrynose Pass then up onto Swirl How and finally the Old Man. Spent first half of the leg throwing up after getting food poisonong from pub in Buttermere, but strated to feel more human again by the time we got onto the Old Man. After a very long break, back up on a beautiful day in late Feb 2008 | ||

| Took a rest up here after popping up Dow Crag. Doing a Grade 3S was a bit of a jump having only down Grade 1s before but an experience to be savoured. Tricky with frozen fingers. | ||

| mountainmanjohn | Old Man of Coniston ![]() Date Climbed: Apr 13, 2006 | |
| Me and Mark Rapley went for a brisk walk to clear the lungs and get those legs moving. The easy route up the front of the Old Man is easy and many groups and families go this way. But it is still quite pleasent as you pass old mine workings and the like. Also never loosing the view accross the valley and lake. We went down the back (west) side to goats hawse the up the short incline over Dow crag. A nice round. MountainmanJohn | ||
