The Pershing Tree, the tallest Sequoia in the Placer County Big Trees grove, on the Foresthill Divide. This is the northern-most natural grove of Giant Sequoia in the world. It's 250 feet tall. August 2007.

Voted 10/10 | I am very much interested in the natural range limits, both latituden'ally and elevational. Are there something like 56 natural groves? Not counting the scrubbers by Fresno. Nice picture by the way, interesting subject. i am from the Seattle area and can't place the landmarks you listed--French Meadows, Foresthill Divide.
