The photo was taken Labor Day...
The photo was taken Labor Day weekend, I believe on a Saturday, around 9:30 am. Because of the angle we took the photo from, the actual summit doesn't appear to be the highest point. The "Red Notch" is about four tenths of the frame from the left, and the actual summit the high point to the immediate left of that. Much of the traverse between Peak and Needle is visible.
