The Price River

It is necessary to ford this river to access Mt. Elliot. It is a good thirty feet across with a depth of a couple feet and at the ford the water comes up to mid thigh. A strong current reminds you to maintain careful balance lest you end up taking an untimely bath. I was informed that just a week earlier, the Price River was running 18 inches higher. Yikes. 5-16-09
