Hasn't voted | That looks like Excelsior in the far upper right... | | Posted Sep 9, 2003 3:10 pm |

Hasn't voted | I don't think that's excelsior. I think that's the unnamed pointy peak just south of summit lake. i believe excelsior is just hidden and out of camera in the upper left corner of this shot. | | Posted Sep 9, 2003 4:31 pm |

Hasn't voted | Steeleman is right. Here is a shot of the pointy peak including Summit Lake. This pano (0.6MB) from Camiaca Peak gives another look including Excelsior. | | Posted Sep 9, 2003 4:47 pm |

Hasn't voted | Bob meant far upper left... Bob, now put the map down, you win. I'll concede that is Excelsior Peak. I was thinking it was this peak. Steeleman is correct on pointing out that the peak on the right is south of Summit Lake. | | Posted Sep 9, 2003 5:19 pm |

Hasn't voted | ok, the nerds are coming out now :-)
i still think the true summit of excelsior is out of photo upper left, hidden in this shot. what you think is excelsior here is actually a false summit on the north ridge just below the summit.
putting map down now... | | Posted Sep 9, 2003 6:38 pm |

Hasn't voted | Sheesh. I can't even tell my left from my right. I think that's due to my left-handedness. I've been scarred since childhood, being forced to live in a world run by righties. | | Posted Sep 11, 2003 10:28 pm |
