What if

you encounter oncoming traffic?!! LOL!
Amazing, a road this high and not 4wd. I don't even think there's a 4wd road close to this high in the Sierra. A small 4wd pass 11,450' near Coyote Ridge northeast of the Palisades is the highest I know of.

For much of its lenght, the road is wide enough for just one vehicle. I did not see anyone or any vehicles all day long but if drive and come across another vehicle, you will be in trouble.
