The Sperry Chalet,...

The Sperry Chalet, reminiscent of European mountain huts, can provide not only accommodation but meals as well. Though many would call it pricy, it was US$60/night during summer of 2005 and sandwiches were just $5. I didn't stay there but I wished I had! I think it might be worth the $60/night price tag to not have to lug tents and have someone feed me. The people were really nice and filled up our water bottles even though we didn't even bring our wallets. This could be used as a base camp for lots of different climbs in the area including Gunsight Mountain, Lincoln Peak, Mt. Jackson, and maybe even Fusillade Mountain.
