The summit pitch of Mount...
The summit pitch of Mount Sneffels. Along the right edge of this pitch was a large cornice. Someone had ascended the edge of this cornice a day or two prior, and when I was on the summit, I realized that whoever this was had been walking on air above thousands of feet of exposure. Lucky him! I was glad that I noticed that something didn't look quite right about this... Never trust someone else's footprints.

"The mountains have rules. they are harsh rules, but they are there, and if you keep to them you are safe. A mountain is not like men. A mountain is sincere. The weapons to conquer it exist inside you, inside your soul."   --Walter Bonatti
