The sun is going to sleep...

"The sun now shall go to bed, But I am ready to shoot. While the air and sky look red, I better tight on my boots!" The show MUST go on! Me, at 1.985m, ready to work on some long exposure night shots. Sunset and about to get cold. Oct 11, 2013. Serra do Papagaio, Minas Gerais. Brazil.

How is the air

up there for you Paulo? I know 6500 ft is not too high but after what you've been through I was wondering.

Re: How is the air

Just walking at São Paulo is already hard for me because of my poor red blood cells count. At 6,500ft things get a little bit harder.
For you to get it, in normal shape/ health, the altitude gain I needed to do for the summit of this mountain (450m) would be covered in just over one hour back in the day (the trail is 5kms long and very easy).
This time, it took me five hours to do it, headaches, some nausea...
It feels like 20.000 feet, simple as that.

PS: The summit of the mountain in question is at 7,460 feet.
