Happy, nearly puking, stinky, sweaty etc..., now easy 7 mile jog downhill to Telluride. Comments[ Post a Comment ] | MarkDidier | Easy Run Downhill? | |
Voted 10/10 | Anyone that has run long enough knows that running downhill is not "easy". You are too kind. | | Posted Sep 13, 2009 9:00 pm |

Hasn't voted | as long as your knees can withstand it, it is relatively easy...
I did not feel like puking anymore! hahaha
It is good to have really hard sole for this race - stepping on little pebbles hurts, and of course shoes 1 size bigger to allow swollen toes some space. I had no blisters! | | Posted Sep 13, 2009 9:12 pm |

Voted 10/10 | I'm not a runner, but seems footwear would be
of the up-most importance.
Does Solomon make a good adventure shoe, or
would you stick with Nike or Rebok?
And, what's the "red thing" attached to your
right ankle ??? | | Posted Sep 14, 2009 12:54 am |

Hasn't voted | Larry, you are really serious about the red thing (typed in red). It was a timing chip for the race.
I think that everyone has a different foot and different preference for shoe brand. Basically, I have about 8 running shoes (I know it sounds crazy, but I have no heels). I have some for road races, and other for marathons, and other for trail runs etc, some old, some new. | | Posted Sep 14, 2009 2:20 am |

Hasn't voted | I don't know...(somewhere in the middle). I run this race nearly every year, and in 2009 I was not really ready, so I took it slowly and was joking along the way and taking photos. My competitive years are gone, my best marathon is 3:04, my best 5K 17:50 - but that was 8 years ago...
+ Imogene running is - you run the first 5 km, then you hit something like 3000 meters elevation, and most people start hiking until they get over the pass and jog down to Telluride. Some years the path is very icy, and you have to be cautious on the descent... | | Posted May 11, 2010 11:07 am |
