Blustery fall ascent  Sucess!

Changed our objective a few times based on the poor weather. A fun scramble in tough, wintry windy conditions. Good times with Raff K.

Once more with feeling

Got to within 500 feet of the summit but wet snow on the top slabby sections made it to risky to finish her off this time. Will have to repeat when its bone dry.

stormy day

Driven off by the bad weather. Too much lightning. But good day out just the same.

Scramble route  Sucess!

Did the approach in pouring rain. Turned to snow as we got to the tarns. Then the sun came out through the clouds and allowed us to make it to the top. The views towards mount Galatea were amazing!

The Tower  Sucess!

Developed Bursitis from climbing too much the Dr said, this was a good break from the action with Steve and Jackie. Pvalchev and I tried to ski up The Tower this past spring, but ran out of light. Easy scramble in my opinion, don't necessarily agree with the moderate rating Kane gives it. Of course great views, just about the last scramble in Kane's book for me in Kananaskis. Saw fresh bear tracks at the Galatea col. Had a cow moose bring her calf out for inspection where we parked, never seen that before. Also rare hare sighting. More rare to see a hare than a bear. We were the 3rd ascent of the year.
